Diversified Human Services, Inc.

The Mission of Diversified Human Services, Inc. is to provide an array of child care, aging and developmental disabilities services

to persons in Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

 

AGING SERVICES:

Center Services and Nutrition Services:

DHS Aging Services Program operates five Senior Community Centers throughout the Mon Valley Area.  Providing recreation and leisure time activities, life skills and nutrition education, volunteer opportunities, and a daily hot noon meal.

 

In-Home Services:

o Personal Care

Provides hands-on supports with routine actions of daily living within the individual’s home (i.e., assisting with bathing, grooming, scheduling medications).

 

o Home Support

Provides the help to insure a safe and healthy living environment (i.e., light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping).

 

o Personal Assistance Services

Offers in-home personal care and support services to assist with physical challenges needed to live as independently as possible (i.e., basic wound care, caregiver relief, limited financial management, accompany consumers to medical appointments).

 

 

CHILD LEARNING CENTERS:

Child Care provides educational and support services to families.  Children six weeks through 12 years of

age attend infant/toddler, pre-school and after school centers in Monessen and Monongahela.

The primary function of this program is to facilitate a child’s emotional, intellectual, social and physical

growth and development while supporting the family.  A certified teacher is responsible for each classroom

and communicating with parents is a daily function.

 

 

DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES:

Developmental Services provide individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability an opportunity to live as independently as possible through community-based residential living and therapeutic learning programs.
